Family Owned & Operated for over 20 years

Fishing in Kyuquot Sound is consistently, year over year, the best on the coast.

Off the west coast of Vancouver Island in any one day you may catch Salmon (Kings), Coho (Silvers), Halibut, snapper, and an abundance of bottom fish.

It is superior salmon fishing in the ultimate, unspoiled wild west coast.

Our experienced guides and staff offer the utmost in care and attention with top of the line equipment. The proximity and short distance to the fishing grounds makes Kyuquot a popular destination for angers of all ages and experience. Our season runs consistently from mid June through September with the opportunity for great fall tuna fishing as well!

Kyuquot Beach House is a very scenic and land-based lodge with access to other activities outside our door. After a full day of fishing on the water relax on our covered harbourside porch with friends.

Come and experience what our many returning guest have enjoyed for over 20 years!

Book a Fishing Trip

It is important when planning your west coast trip to come prepared. The beauty of Kyuquot is there is no Walmart to pickup those forgotten shorts on holiday.

license#1) YOUR FISHING LICENCE – A must!

They are no longer for sale as paper copies and can only be acquired online before you leave home.  Please follow the link to ensure you purchase a Salt water tidal fishing licence with chinook stamp for the duration of your stay (If not a annual licence).

Be sure to follow the links for the Dept. of Fisheries Pacific Region to purchase your B.C. Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence.

#2) Proper Clothing & Accessories

We want you to be warm, dry and comfortable during your stay.

We provide PFD approved jackets for your trip but a lighter shell or rain coat is a good alternative during those warm summer days.

Waterproof rain pants and fishing boots are also provided. Jeans and sneakers are a recommended alternative on warmer days as well. Layers – merino wool and fleece is a much better choice than cotton clothing. Temperatures vary throughout the days and seasons.

Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen are highly recommended as the glare off the water can be bright and you don’t want to miss out on seeing a breaching whale or the rod strike from the “Big one” that may get away.

Your camera is a must! The views are outstanding and the abundance of marine life an scenery will keep you snapping photos all day long!

#3) Alcohol & Snacks

When purchasing a full service package with us all non- alcoholic drinks and mix are provided along with appetizers, lunch, & full meals.

Guests may bring with them  or arrange for us to purchase ahead of time wine, beer and/or spirits of their choice. Alcohol is NOT for sale in the village of Kyuquot.

We do have a general store in the village which offers for sale snacks, batteries, toiletries and souvenirs if something is forgotten.
